Born in the spirit of Durga Puja, Charyapada has grown into a community rooted in culture and driven by care — celebrating heritage, nurturing families, and giving back to those around us.
Our Founding Principles
"We are not building an event. We are building a community — one that celebrates culture and cares for those around us."
Charyapada was born from a simple longing — the kind that surfaces when you realise the festivals of your childhood have grown distant. Too large, too commercial, too anonymous.
"The truest celebration is one where everyone knows your name — and is genuinely glad you came."
We are creating more than a Durga Puja in Agartala. Rooted in the spirit of the festival, Charyapada has grown into a cultural and social community where every family is a stakeholder, every tradition is cherished, and the spirit of celebration reaches beyond the pandal — into the streets, homes, and lives around us. You don't just attend — you belong.
These six beliefs shape how we celebrate, and what kind of community we want to be.
Every family is a valued member, not just a visitor. Your voice matters in shaping our celebrations and traditions.
From traditional rituals to artistic performances, we celebrate the richness of culture with authenticity and grace.
Our children aren't spectators — they're active participants, learning and carrying forward our beautiful traditions.
Built on trust, transparency, and shared values. No commercial agenda — just pure love for culture and community.
Workshops, performances, art displays, and cultural programs that let everyone's creativity shine through.
Thoughtfully curated celebrations with care for every detail — from rituals to food to hospitality.
Our puja is held at Anandaniketan Eco Retreat — a premium facility nestled in Anandanagar. Lush, meticulously maintained, and utterly one of a kind, it is a venue that commands attention the moment you arrive.
Ordinarily accessible only by prior booking, the retreat opens its doors exclusively for Charyapada's Durga Puja — making every visit feel like a privilege. The open grounds, the natural surroundings, and the sheer quality of the space give our celebration an atmosphere that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.
Our very first Durga Puja in 2025 was graced by His Excellency Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, the Governor of Tripura, who formally inaugurated the celebration — a moment that marked the beginning of something lasting for our community.
On the occasion, the Governor also unveiled our community souvenir — a collection of articles written by our own members, capturing stories, reflections, and the spirit of Charyapada. His Excellency honoured us further by contributing a personal message to the souvenir, which was carried in print.
A curated collection of articles, memories, and reflections by Charyapada members — unveiled at our inaugural puja, with a foreword by the Governor of Tripura.
Charyapada was created in the spirit of Durga Puja — but our purpose runs deeper. We believe a true community looks after those around it, carrying the warmth of the festival into everyday lives.
At our 2025 Durga Puja, 120 families from surrounding villages received free consultations with top super-specialists from Agartala — along with free medicines. Expert healthcare brought directly to the community, at no cost.
Some thoughts from families who were part of our 2025 celebration.
"For the first time, my children asked to help with the rituals. They felt they were part of something real — not just watching from the sidelines."
"It feels like the Durga Puja of our childhood — where everyone knew everyone, where the goddess felt near, where community meant something."
"What drew me here was the honesty. No grand promises, no commercial theater — just people who love their culture and want to share it."
Charyapada is more than a puja. It is a community that celebrates culture, nurtures families, and gives back to those around us. From free medical camps to saree distributions, we act on the belief that a true celebration lifts everyone — not just those inside the pandal.
